Sony music and Sanjeev Boparai present new singing female sensation Rupali with her debut single Gal Sun Challeya.

Rupali Born and raised in Amritsar, Punjab began singing at a young age getting involved in local shows and events, She has a Masters in Vocal Music and Rupali is also one of the rare gems to be taught from Padam Shiri Ustad Puran Chand Wadali Ji. Rupali trained for three years with Puran Chand Wadali who are known as Wadali Brothers and come amongst the legendry Punjabi folk singers in Punjab.

Rupali is set to make her debut with Gal Sun Challeya with the music produced by UK music producers MoneySpinner. Moneyspinner who gave us the super hit track of 2015 Ticketan with Punjabi folk king Kanwar Grewal. The music producers who have been recognised worldwide for some of their hits like Maahi ve Maahi with Preet Brar & Sudesh Kumari, Touchwood with Master Saleem and Unfinished Project with the Late Soni Pabla.

The project has been managed and conceived by UK based music manager Sanjeev Boparai who also heads up a music company in India called Punjeeri Production alongside artist management. Sanjeev wanted a UK based produced to give an urban twist to the traditional song.

Rupali is excited to work with such a known team “Working on a folk song with so much tradition was a big challenge for me. I love what MoneySpinner have done with the song and hope everyone enjoys the track as we had great pleasure in making it”

The words are written by Nimma Loharka but with some improvisations and Swann from Moneyspinner said “When we met Rupali and heard her vocals we knew she was a star in the making. Gal Sun Challeya is new twist on a classic folk song, keeping a folk sound at the same time. There is a lot of feel to this song, and a pleasant fusion of beats, Dhol, Drums accompanied by the traditional composition which is known to everyone.

After a string of hit tracks, UK based music producers MoneySpinner are now set to take their musical talent to a whole new level to collaborating with Punjab’s most popular sufi singer Kanwar Grewal for his new single ‘Ticketan’. The single will be released on India based record label T series. Kanwar Grewal has swiftly taken the world by storm and captivated audiences with his sufi style of singing and poetry. His distinct and gifted style and humble persona has quickly created a platform for Kanwar, which has captured the hearts of all who have crossed his path.

In 2014, Kanwar Grewal performed live in UK concert for his first Tour where the shows were a big success and saw fans from all over Europe”. MoneySpinner experienced Kanwar Grewal’s live performance and it was where it all began. The impromptu mehfils and personal meetings with Kanwar Grewal quickly became a professional musical collaboration. UK born singer Prem singh who went straight to the Itunes charts with his debut Shaal Marke in 2012 is ready to launch his 3rd single titled EP Thief of Punjab on Brown Knight records. Prem made a flying start to his singing career three years ago with getting played on BBC Radio 1 Fearn Cottons radio show and BBC Asian Networks Nihals Desi beats show.

Now he’s back teaming up with London based music producer Vigo Brasco who was also responsible for launching Prem’s singing career.

Prem who started singing at the age of 21 years old was inspired mainly by listening to music at home and legends of Punjab such as Kuldip Manak, Surinder Shinda, Amar Singh Chamkila and Nusfrat Fateh Ali.

The long awaited EP entitled ‘Thief of Punjab ‘will be out in May on iTunes and all other major online music stores. Also it will be accompanied by his second video and the EP will feature an exclusive Drum and Bass remix also produced by London based producer Vigo. Prem Singh is coming from a new direction and wants to take UK Bhangra to a whole new level. The track is co-written by Prem Singh and Sharanpal Singh, an unknown lyricst from Nurmahal, Punjab. It’s about a beautiful Punjabi woman from Punjab of course. Who goes around stealing men’s hearts and breaking them. We thought we come up with a topic where this time its the woman being the powerful dominant specie and the man as the typical uncontrollable being who falls for beautiful women.

The Thief of Punjab video will be a visual/graphical and conceptual music video all shot on green screen. We decided not to go with too much of a story relating to the song. We wanted to go for something much more different from the usual video’s out there these days. Its shot on state of the art technology as was the last video. Which was shot on the same camera they shot for the new James Bond movies.
